Meeting new people on the dance floor is a great way to build ones list of friends. Dancers seem to get along easier with each other because of that common interest.

Are You Taking Your Dancing Seriously?
If dancing and lessons are new for you then the question above is very confusing. So if you are new or just adding dancing to your life then enjoy yourself and do not take yourself so seriously.
Out of all the dances you can learn Ballroom, Latin or Swing have you found one you like more than another. I like the Foxtrot to get comfortable with my dance partner and the Samba for fun and exercise.
One of the greatest benfits of taking trips to any dance floor is Meeting new people. When I am on the dance floor I always find someone new to say hi to.
This to me is a great way to build my friends list. I go to dances just to run into new people. After all with more people to talk you generate more dance partners.
If you are just starting out with your dance knowledge then this little piece of information might not be what you need right now.

I guess it would depend on one very important thing. Is it your Date, Spouse or a Student.
This can be a little confussing. What I mean by the above statement is….
I get romantic on the dance floor with my spouse or someone I am dating. I keep my romanic side hidden with a student. To me it is not a romantic situation with someone that is paying me to teach them to dance.
I have seen this line crossed in my many years of dance instruction. It is the difference between being a Pro or an Amature.
